LIV Golf has taken some of the biggest names in golf in recent years and it looks like they could be about to land another big name in PGA Tour star, Tony Finau.
Finau is set sign with LIV and become yet another big name from the PGA Tour to make the move to the Saudi-backed tour.
Interestingly, there are suggestions that more big names could follow Finau as well.
“Breaking news that Tony Finau, according to my sources, has signed with LIV Golf. Right out of the gate, here we go.
“Now, my source has told me there’s two to four players, big names, that are joining LIV. One of them is Tony Finau, according to my source, it’s done, he’s signed,” YouTuber Mr Short Game said.

However, Finau’s move to LIV should come as no surprise really, given he has been linked for some time and ultimately, never completely dispelled the rumours.

Tony Finau’s LIV Golf move makes perfect sense after previous comments
Finau, as we all know, is very good friends with Jon Rahm and with Rahm admitting he wants a new player for Legion XIII, Finau was always going to get a mention.
Indeed, looking back at Finau’s comments on a potential move back in 2023, the American didn’t completely shut it down.
I have nothing to say right now. I haven’t heard anything,” Finau said.
“No, not yet. I haven’t let anything marinate other than just playing right now,” he added when pressed on if there’d been talks.
Furthermore, Finau has also praised Rahm as well, insisting the Spaniard has no weakness in his game.
If the news of Finau joining Rahm on LIV is true, then it should come as no surprise.
Who else could follow Tony Finau to LIV Golf?
It’s impossible to tell who will make the move but the top players like Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy and Xander Schauffele can pretty much be ruled out.
However, there are some other big names who have had a mention.
Viktor Hovland has not ruled out a LIV move, while Greg Norman admitted he’d tried to sign Hideki Matsuyama as well.
With a LIV Golf GM saying a few weeks back that two big names were due to sign, it’s little wonder that someone like Finau is now getting a mention.
LIV Golf, it seems, are just not going away and are continuing to try and poach the PGA’s stars.
