Jon Rahm is on the hunt for a new member of Legion XIII as the Team Championship winners look to strengthen ahead of the 2025 LIV Golf League.

Kieran Vincent’s relegation means the Spaniard is potentially looking for a new face to join himself, Tyrrell Hatton, and Caleb Surrat.

John Catlin dropped a hint that he could be Legion XIII’s newest recruit, and Rahm has now revealed that he’s had his eye on six or seven players.

During an interview with the Spanish Podcast Golf Sin Etiquetas, Rahm engaged in an intriguing back-and-forth with the host about who could be Legion’s newest addition.

The interviewer asked: “So, Sergio just announced that Chacarra is leaving your team. Do you have any players you’re losing, or what can we expect from Legion XIII in 2025? Don’t tell me you don’t know, Jon.”

Rahm replied: “I know, but I haven’t locked in a player yet. We’ve got six or seven we’re scouting. Not yet… Well, one’s already been scouted. I saw him today, but there’s nothing new for him. I’ve been telling him this since last year.”

The interviewer added: “Well, there are only two or three names.”

“No, no, there are six or seven I have in mind,” Rahm replied.

Legion XIII could be unstoppable if Jon Rahm makes correct LIV Golf signing

Legion XIII were the outstanding team last season whilst carrying Vincent at times. The Zimbabwean was nowhere near the level of Hatton and Rahm, which makes Legion’s 2024 feat even more impressive.

If Rahm can add a solid player to his ranks, the reigning champions will be hard to stop once more when the new season rolls around.

It will be interesting to see if Rahm’s new recruit is already playing on LIV or is signed from further afield. As the off-season continues, rumours of PGA Tour players making the breakaway switch will no doubt emerge.

And after Rahm and Hatton’s blockbuster moves last year, another shock departure cannot be ruled out at present.
