The LIV Golf off-season is in full swing, and one player could be set to join up with Jon Rahm’s Legion XIII for the 2025 campaign.

With players leaving the league, some teams are on the lookout for new signings. Sergio Garcia’s Fireballs are looking to replace Eugenio Chacarra, and Kieran Vincent could be replaced on Legion XIII.

Elsewhere, Bubba Watson, Branden Grace, Scott Vincent and Kalle Samooja all finished in the drop zone and face uncertain futures.

However, Watson, captain of the RangeGoats, could be handed a reprieve, and the two-time Masters champion is likely to return through a ‘business case’.

Another player who is a free agent is John Catlin. The 33-year-old was a reserve throughout the 2024 season but performed well whenever he was called upon.

And the American’s latest Instagram post could have hinted at where he will play his golf next season.

Catlin posted an image of a Legion XIII hat on a table at the Hua Hin Marriot Resort in Thailand. The American deputised for captain Rahm at the Team Championship, although Catlin was wearing a branded Ping hat at the time.

Could Catlin’s post be an indication that he’s about to sign for Legion XIII?

John Catlin’s 2024 LIV Golf record

Catlin enjoyed a successful 2024 despite not being permanently attached to any team. The American was required for six events and represented three different teams.

Catlin deputised for the injured Charles Howell III on Crushers GC during four tournaments and produced a best finish of T7 in Nashville.

During LIV Golf Greenbrier, Catlin replaced the injured Graeme McDowell and helped Brooks Koepka’s Smash GC to a team victory.

Finally, Catlin represented Legion XIII at the Team Championship in Dallas and cared a two-under 70 as Legion earned a fourth-place finish.
