He’s one of the highest-profile, most impressive golfers to move from the PGA Tour to LIV Golf, but there’s so much to know about Jon Rahm.

It’s been an eventful few years for Jon Rahm since he joined the PGA Tour in 2016. In the time following, he’s won two majors, sat atop the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR), and signed a mega deal to join the LIV Golf League.

Many were shocked by Rahm’s decision to go, despite the money. And, given the impact on his reputation and ranking while on the breakaway tour, there have even been rumours of Rahm wanting to quit LIV.

Still, Greg Norman dismissed those rumours, and Rahm appears to be happy now. He’s the LIV Golf champion, he’s earning a lot of money, and he’s still part of Team Europe’s success at the Ryder Cup, so he should be happy.

Rahm is one of the most recognisable names within the sport, and here, The Golfing Gazette tells you everything you need to know about the Spaniard, including his golf stats, career earnings, and family life.

Jon Rahm age

Rahm is currently 30-years-old. He was born on 10 November 1994 in Barrika, Spain.

Jon Rahm height

Rahm is 1.88 metres tall, which makes him one of the taller players in the world’s top 20, alongside Scottie Scheffler and Ludvig Aberg. That roughly equates to around 6ft 2in tall.

Jon Rahm world ranking

Jon Rahm has plummeted to 71st in the world ranking for golf. This is due to the fact he has now been in the LIV Golf League for the last two years, and events there do not count towards OWGR points.

We’ve seen Rahm hold top spot in the OWGR three times in the past. He climbed to number one for the first time in July 2020 after winning the Memorial Tournament. He returned there after winning the US Open just under a year later. Rahm last held the number one ranking in February 2023 after winning the Genesis Invitational.

Just a year ago, in September 2024, Rahm dropped to 14th in the world. He has since fallen a lot further to his current 71st position in the rankings.

Jon Rahm net worth

After his blockbuster move to LIV Golf, Rahm’s net worth is estimated to be around $102 million. That’s according to Forbes, who claim Rahm is the highest-paid golfer in the world in 2025, and the 12th highest-paid athlete.

Breaking all of this down, we know that Rahm earned $53.55 million while on the PGA Tour. Since joining LIV, Rahm is thought to have earned another $40 million in prize money. That’s in addition to what is rumoured to have been a $500 million signing fee when he made the move.

Rahm also bagged an $18 million bonus for topping the individual championship leaderboard in the LIV Golf League in 2025. When you compare Rahm’s earnings to Scottie Scheffler’s, the Spaniard pips the world number one – Rahm brought in $31.61 million while Scheffler earned just under $24 million.

You also have to consider Rahm’s commercial income from sponsorships and endorsements, which Forbes state are worth around $10 million. These include deals with Callaway, Rolex, Mercedes-Benz, and the outfitters for his Legion XIII team, Greyson Clothiers apparel.

Jon Rahm PGA Tour stats

Since making his debut on the PGA Tour at the 2014 OHL Classic in Mayakoba, and joining the Tour officially in 2016, Rahm has registered 11 wins. He’s also been runner-up ten times, has 47 top five finishes, and has placed in the top ten 76 times.

He’s played 158 events to date, making the cut in 142 of them.

Rahm’s first win on the PGA Tour was the Farmers Insurance Open in 2017. He also won the Zurich Classic in 2019, picked up two wins in 2020 (the Memorial Tournament and the BMW Championship), before winning his first major, the US Open, in 2021.

His most successful season was the 2022/23 campaign, where Rahm bagged four victories on the Tour. Wins there included The Masters, The Genesis Invitational, The American Express, and the Sentry Tournament of Champions.

It’s worth noting Rahm also has eight international wins to his name, including being a three-time DP World Tour Championship winner.

Jon Rahm LIV Golf stats

Rahm has been successful since joining the LIV Golf League, and has now won the Individual Championship two years running. He was the standout performer during the 2024 LIV Golf season, pipping Joaquin Niemann to the top spot, after ensuring he didn’t finish outside the top ten in any event during the entire campaign.

After finishing inside the top five on multiple occasions, Rahm won his first event in LIV’s UK event at JCB Golf and Country Club in 2024, just one week after The Open Championship at Royal Troon.

Discussing his experience in that first year with LIV, Rahm said: “I thoroughly enjoyed it. Being able to go to places like Adelaide, Hong Kong, Singapore was so much fun. I hadn’t played in that part of the world and to see the crowd, the love they had for us and the support for the game, was heartwarming.”

It was a similar story in 2025, although ironically, Rahm didn’t actually win any single event. He was runner-up in four events (Riyadh, Andalucia, Chicago, and Indianapolis) and finished outside the top ten just once. That was enough to give him 226.16 points over the season to retain the title.

Rahm has also seen his Legion XIII team land the Team Championship in 2025. He captained the side to four team victories this season.

Jon Rahm majors

Rahm has won two majors, the 2021 US Open and the 2023 Masters at Augusta National.

In 2021, Rahm shot a final round of 4-under to end the tournament on -6, one stroke ahead of Louis Oosthuizen.

His victory at Augusta in 2023 was far more dominant, winning the Masters by a massive four strokes ahead of fellow LIV golfers Brooks Koepka and Phil Mickelson. A 3-under final round was enough to see Rahm end up on -12 for the event.

Interestingly, Rahm went into that final day three shots behind Koepka, but a poor showing from his rival on day four saw the scores swing in the Spaniard’s favour.

Jon Rahm caddie

Adam Hayes has been Rahm’s caddie since 2016. Hayes has been on the Spaniard’s bag for multiple Ryder Cups and both of his major wins.

Hayes previously caddied for Russell Henley. Interestingly, it was Phil Mickelson’s caddie who recommended Hayes to Rahm, and the rest is history.

Jon Rahm swing

Rahm’s unique swing is known for being short, flat, and fast. The 29-year-old prefers to hit a left-to-right shot and also boasts one of the best short games in the world.

He discussed his challenges in perfecting his swing, saying: “I battled my swing most of the year [in 2022]. I wasn’t as comfortable as I was the year prior, and that showed. When you go to major championship golf, where you need to be better in every way, those mistakes are going to show.”

The unorthodox swing for Rahm is down to the fact he has a club right foot and his right leg being half an inch shorter than his left. He has admitted to having disagreements with coaches in the past who have tried to alter his swing, but Rahm knows what works best for him, and it’s hard to argue with that given his success.

Ryder Cup success

Jon Rahm has been involved in the last four Ryder Cup tournaments for Team Europe, and played a key role in winning the last two.

Overall, Rahm has three wins and one loss during team matches, while his individual record is 9-3-5 across 17 matches. The Spaniard has won 61.8% of the potential points he has competed for across his four Ryder Cup appearances.

In 2025, Rahm produced a stunning chip-in on day two to secure a win against Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay. Rahm loved playing alongside Tyrrell Hatton, and clearly had a good partnership going with his LIV Golf team member.

Jon Rahm family

Jon Rahm married Kelley Cahill in 2019. Their sons, Kepa and Eneko, were born in 2021 and 2022. The family currently live in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Jon Rahm’s parents are Edorta Rahm and Angela Rahm. Edorta Rahm is a gasoline industry worker, and his mother, Angela Rodríguez, is a midwife.
