Jon Rahm was one of Europe’s key players in beating the United States at the 2025 Ryder Cup.

Rahm played in all five sessions at Bethpage Black, winning his first four matches in foursomes and fourballs.

The Spaniard lost to Xander Schauffele in singles on Sunday, but most of the damage had already been done.

Rahm has now sent a message to “everyone involved” with the Ryder Cup after celebrating Europe’s famous victory.

Jon Rahm makes social media post after Europe’s Ryder Cup win

Rahm has always been passionate about the Ryder Cup, and you could see how much Europe’s win meant to him.

The Spaniard was at the forefront of Europe’s celebrations with the away fans at Bethpage Black on Sunday.

Rahm has now posted on social media for the first time since the Ryder Cup, with a “special thank you” to those who helped put on the event.

His Instagram post read: “I love this team. We did it!” He then commented, “Special thank you to everyone involved in making the Ryder Cup happen.

“Thank you to my teammates, vice captains, and, of course, Captain Luke Donald for paving the way. Winning on the road is special.”

Rahm has already stated that he wants Luke Donald to return as the European captain at Adare Manor in 2027.

Jon Rahm comments on Jose Maria Olazabal’s impact at the Ryder Cup

Rahm was fortunate to have Ryder Cup legend and European vice-captain Jose Maria Olazabal by his side at Bethpage Black.

Olazabal followed Rahm’s matches throughout the weekend, which the LIV golfer has described as “incredibly inspirational.”

“It’s incredibly inspirational, but at times I almost feel more pressure just because his presence is there and I know what he’s seeing and, in a way, what he expects of me.

“I was able to pull off a few shots here and there, but definitely as much as he helps me, it’s extra intensity when he’s there. But it’s the loveliest feeling out there.

“He told us this week, he didn’t want to be known any longer as the last Ryder Cup captain to win in the US. Just happy that we could deliver that for him.”
