John Verrall
John Verrall is the Director and Deputy Head of Global Sport at GRV Media, jointly overseeing the strategic growth and editorial direction of the network’s sports portfolio. A cornerstone of GRV’s expansion for over a decade, he is responsible for the performance of flagship brands TBR Football and The Chelsea Chronicle, both of which achieved record traffic milestones under his leadership. As the founder of The Tennis Gazette and The Golfing Gazette, John built both into leading niche publications, securing interviews with global icons including Carlos Alcaraz, Tommy Fleetwood, and Shane Lowry. John’s pedigree includes writing for UEFA and The Guardian, alongside a Sports Journalism degree from Staffordshire University. An award-winning broadcaster, his podcast, Up The Poshcast, was named Best Club Content Creator (Football League) at the 2025 Football Content Awards.
Antony Martin
Antony Martin is a former professional golfer and seasoned sports journalist with over two decades of experience inside the ropes. Between 2003 and 2007, Antony competed on the U.S. professional mini-tour circuit, playing on the Moonlight and Grey Goose Gateway Tours in Florida. This period provides him with a technical and psychological understanding of the game that few reporters can match. Transitioning from the leaderboard to the press box, Antony has spent his journalism career distilling the complexities of the pro game for global audiences. He has conducted high-profile interviews with Major champions and Ryder Cup stars, including Shane Lowry and Tommy Fleetwood. His reporting leverages this first-hand experience to provide nuanced analysis of the PGA Tour, DP World Tour and LIV Golf, bridging the gap between professional play and insightful sports media.

Charlie Walker
Charlie Walker is a Sports Journalist at GRV Media. He is head of video content for The Golfing Gazette, and a contributor to written content network’s golf platforms. A graduate of the University of Derby, he earned First Class Honours in Specialist Sports Journalism, receiving two Pro-Vice Chancellor/Deans Awards in recognition of outstanding academic achievement. He also won the Sports Journalism Student of the Year Award and the Enterprise Award during his time at the university. Charlie has worked for Basketball England and Leicester Riders prior to joining GRV Media, where he began coverage of golf. Charlie's passion for golf started after growing up watching and playing the sport with his father. One of his earliest memories is seeing Tiger Woods win The Open at Royal Liverpool. Since then, he’s been hooked, and spends nearly every moment playing, watching, writing or talking about golf!
James Shearman
James Shearman graduated from the University of Gloucestershire in 2023 with a degree in Multimedia Sports Journalism. One of the highlights of his studies was interviewing local hero Eddie the Eagle ahead of the 2022 Winter Olympics. He then joined FootballTransfers as a Premier League writer, frequently covering Chelsea and the club’s notable spending sprees. James has played a key role in GRV Media’s SEO team since 2024, contributing to the growth of multiple sites across a range of sports. He has also served as site leader for The Chelsea Chronicle and Sunderland AFC News, helping the latter record its highest-ever traffic figures during the 2024/25 season. Outside of journalism, James enjoys playing golf, cricket and six-a-side football.
Jordan Harris
Jordan Harris is a senior sports journalist and digital publishing specialist with over a decade of experience. Since joining GRV Media in November 2015, he has held key roles at HITC Sport and The Boot Room, before moving across to The Golfing Gazette ahead of the site's launch in 2023 and going on to help secure interviews with the likes of Shane Lowry and Tommy Fleetwood. A Southampton Solent University Sports Journalism graduate, Jordan's work has previously appeared on BBC Sport and Al Jazeera. His passion for golf began after watching the 2006 Ryder Cup, and he has since attended The Open Championship and the BMW PGA Championship.
Peter Lynch
Peter Lynch has been working as a sports journalist for more than eight years, after graduating from the University of Stirling with First Class honours in Journalism. After gaining experience at BBC Sport Scotland, he started out on the 24-hour Sky Sports News desk in London, where he regularly covered tennis, a sport that he first took an interest in amid the rise of Roger Federer. His previous experience in the field includes a reporter role for the International University Sports Federation at the 30th Summer Universiade in Naples, where tennis was among the sports involved. He also enjoys playing at a recreational level, and has attended major tournaments such as the Italian Open in Rome. Peter also has a keen interest in golf, having attended major tournaments such as the DP World Tour Championship and the Irish Open.
