Jordan Spieth has fallen well short of completing the career grand slam at the PGA Championship this week, where he has missed the cut.

Spieth is a 13-time winner on the PGA Tour, with the American having won The Masters, the US Open and The Open Championship.

Two of those successes arrived in 2015, the same year he finished second at the PGA Championship, his best finish at the tournament.

But Spieth failed to produce a similarly impressive display at Quail Hollow this week after finishing on two-over.

He struggled to master the wet North Carolina course, carding rounds of 76 and 68 to miss the cut by just one shot.

The damage was, of course, done on day one with his round of five-over, with his second round three-under not quite enough to make the weekend.
