Quail Hollow Club is the world-famous golf course set to host the 2025 PGA Championship between May 15-18.

The venue has welcomed many great tournaments in the past, from the Truist Championship to the Presidents Cup, and will now hold its second major championship.

It’s a popular course among PGA Tour players, especially Masters winner Rory McIlroy, who has enjoyed as much success there as anywhere else in his illustrious career.

Quail Hollow is a golf course and country club in Charlotte, North Carolina, in the southeast of the United States.

Nearest airport to Quail Hollow Club

Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) is the main airport in North Carolina and one of the 10 busiest in the United States. It’s a 30-minute drive to Quail Hollow.

Who designed Quail Hollow Club?

Quail Hollow’s golf course was initially designed by George Cobb and opened in June 1961. It has since been improved by seven-time major champion Arnold Palmer and famous architect Tom Fazio.

How to play Quail Hollow Club

Quail Hollow is a private club, so only members can play there, and it’s not possible for anyone else to book a tee time.

How much does membership cost at Quail Hollow Club?

Quail Hollow Club is exclusive, with only around 300 members on the books at one time. Membership is thought to cost around $100,000 up front and monthly fees of $800.

Tournaments at Quail Hollow Club

PGA Championship

The 2025 PGA Championship is only the second time Quail Hollow has hosted a major, having held the same event in 2017.

Truist Championship

Quail Hollow is home to the Truist Championship, previously the Wells Fargo Championship, which Rory McIlroy has won four times.

The 2025 Truist Championship was held at the Philadelphia Cricket Club instead, to avoid back-to-back tournaments at Quail Hollow.

Quail Hollow Club course record

Career Grand Slam champion McIlroy set the course record at Quail Hollow with a 10-under-par 61 in 2015. McIlroy won the event that year with a tournament-record 21-under final score.
