The PGA Championship is here! The Golfing Gazette has everything you need to know about the second major on the calendar.

The Masters will go down as one of the greatest spectacles in golf history, as Rory McIlroy completed the career Grand Slam, and now we can do it all again.

The tournament is shaping up to be another classic, with so many top players and rising stars in the field at Quail Hollow.

PGA Championship dates

The PGA Championship starts on Thursday, May 15, and ends on Sunday, May 18. It’s the only PGA Tour event this week.

Where is the PGA Championship?

The PGA Championship venue changes every year, and this is the second time that Quail Hollow has hosted the tournament (2017 and 2025).

Many of golf’s greatest players have won the PGA Championship, from Jack Nicklaus (5) to Tiger Woods (4). Here are the five most recent champions:

Which players are in the PGA Championship field?

The PGA Championship field consists of the best players from the PGA Tour and LIV Golf. Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, and Bryson DeChambeau are probably the three biggest names.

Fellow superstars Ludvig Aberg, Collin Morikawa, Justin Thomas, Xander Schauffele, and Jon Rahm will also tee it up at Quail Hollow.

Perhaps the most interesting participant is Michael Block, the club professional who made a hole-in-one playing alongside McIlroy and finished tied for 15th in 2023.

How to watch the PGA Championship

ESPN and CBS will both show live TV coverage of the PGA Championship to fans in the United States from Thursday to Sunday.

The prize money at the PGA Championship has not yet been released. It’s expected to be around $20 million, the same as the Truist Championship last week.
