Jordan Spieth is one of the most high-profile names in professional golf, even if his success has waned in recent years. Here is everything you need to know about the PGA Tour player.

It’s safe to say Jordan Spieth burst onto the scene in the world of golf, and his early success in 2013 prompted high praise from Tiger Woods among others.

It wasn’t long before he elevated his game to another level. Indeed, by 2015 the up-and-coming star had become the best golfer on the planet and was a household name.

He enjoyed more success on the PGA Tour in the next few seasons than many achieve in their entire careers. But, things have taken a downward turn for Spieth in recent years.

So, here, The Golfing Gazette has all the important information about the former world number one, from his net worth to his family, and a deep dive on his career statistics.

How old is Jordan Spieth?

Jordan Spieth is now 32-years-old. He was born in Dallas, Texas, on July 27, 1993. He learned to play golf at the nearby Brookhaven Country Club and still lives in the area.

How tall is Jordan Spieth and how much does he weigh?

Spieth stands at 6ft 1in tall — he is the same height as Tiger Woods — and weighs around 175 lbs (79 kg).

Jordan Spieth world ranking

Jordan Spieth is currently sitting at number 57 in the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR).

He was previously world number one back in 2015, after winning The Masters and the US Open that year.

Spieth has had a turbulent relationship with the OWGR. He was 22nd in the world back in 2013, then jumped to the top spot in 2015, before dropping way back down to 92nd in 2021. A strong showing that year did help him return to the top ten, but he has since dropped out of the top 50 once more.

Jordan Spieth net worth and career earnings

Spieth has signed several endorsement deals in his career with brands such as Under Armour and Coca-Cola. Celebrity Net Worth estimates that his net worth is $120 million.

Spieth’s career earnings on the PGA Tour are over $65.9 million as of Fall 2025. He’s currently 9th on the all-time list behind Adam Scott ($69 million) and Justin Thomas ($70.6 million).

His earnings of $12.03 million in the 2014-15 season was the most money won by any player in a PGA Tour season for some time. His record was taken by Scottie Scheffler in 2021-22, and has been surpassed multiple times since by the likes of Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, and Viktor Hovland.

Jordan Spieth PGA Tour record

Jordan Spieth made his debut on the PGA Tour at the age of just 16. He turned out at the AT&T Byron Nelson in Dallas, Texas back in 2010 and caught the eye as an amateur by making the cut and finishing T16 overall.

He officially joined the Tour in 2013 and wasted no time in finding genuine success. Spieth won the John Deere Classic that year. Spieth’s debut season matched Tiger Woods’ own first year on the Tour.

As we mentioned previously, 2014-15 was an insanely good season for Spieth. He won five events, including another John Deere, the Valspar Championship, the Masters, the US Open, and the TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola.

Spieth followed that up with wins at the DEAN & DELUCA Invitational and Hyundai Tournament of Champions in 2016, and a trio of wins in 2017 (AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, Travelers Championship, and The Open Championship).

The wins have dried up for Spieth since then, though. In the past five years, all he has to show for his efforts are the 2021 Valero Texas Open, and the RBC Heritage in 2022.

Overall, Spieth has played 300 events on the Tour, has 13 wins, 18 runner-up finishes, and 93 top ten finishes. He has made the cut in 243 out of those 300 events.

What majors has Jordan Spieth won?

Spieth won his first major at the Masters Tournament in 2015 as a 23-year-old. He only had to wait a few months before adding another to his record with the US Open.

The American won the Open Championship at Royal Birkdale Golf Club in 2017 and now only needs the PGA Championship to complete the career Grand Slam.

Spieth became the first player since the legendary Jack Nicklaus to win three different major championships before turning 24.

Ryder Cup record

Jordan Spieth has been involved in five Ryder Cup tournaments with Team USA. He missed out on the team for 2025, but was selected for every event since 2014 until that recent snub.

He has been a part of two winning teams with the USA, but has also witnessed three defeats at the hands of Team Europe.

Overall, Spieth’s Ryder Cup record leaves a lot to be desired. From 22 matches, he has eight wins, nine losses, and five ties. That’s a 47.7% success rate on all the potential points up for grabs.

Jordan Spieth’s downfall

No golfer on the planet outperformed Spieth between 2015 and 2017, with three majors and six other PGA Tour wins.

Unfortunately, he couldn’t extend his great form beyond that spell and went almost four years without winning until the 2021 Valero Texas Open.

He has now fallen outside the top 50 in the world rankings, has no Tour wins in the last three years, and it seems more likely by the day that he won’t return to his old self.

One thing we know is that Spieth is really struggling at majors of late. Just this season, he finished T23 at the US Open at +8, and missed the cut at the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow. Spieth also ended up T40 at The Open Championship, so it’s no wonder he wasn’t involved in the Ryder Cup this year.

Rich Beem suggested Spieth should change coaches ahead of the 2026 season. Whether he actually ditches Cameron McCormick or not remains to be seen, having worked with him since he was very young, but clearly something has to give.

Spieth didn’t even land in the FedEx Cup top 50 at the end of this recent season, with an overall 54th place finish.

How long have Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas been friends?

Spieth has known fellow PGA Tour star Justin Thomas since they were 14-years-old, and they’re still good friends.

Their relationship has also been helpful on the golf course as they’ve won several points playing together for the United States Ryder Cup team.

Still, that doesn’t stop them being fiercely competitive. On the Netflix documentary Full Swing, Thomas said: “He’s one of my best friends, we’re always going to pull for each other. But at the same time, I hope that I beat him in every single tournament that we play in for the rest of our life.”

Jordan Spieth’s caddie

Former maths teacher Michael Greller has been Spieth’s caddie for his entire golf career. They first worked together at the 2011 US Junior Amateur.

Greller has spoken in the past about the one regret he has in the time working with Spieth, which came at the 2015 Open. He said (via GOLF): “For me, that was the hardest loss… If I had a re-do, he ended up hitting a gap wedge, he was left and he was being aggressive because he was trying to make birdie there on the 18th hole at St. Andrews.

“And he ended up coming short and it came all the way back down to the bottom, and he had to make a 40-footer to get in the playoff. But in hindsight I wish he would have hit it to 20 feet behind it.”

That moment hit Greller hard, with the caddie admitting: “I actually cried after that one I was so upset… not just that decision… it was just he was on the cusp of having a great chance to literally win the first three majors. Then he ended up getting solo-second at Whistling Straits that year at the PGA. He was not far off from winning all four majors So that’s probably one that I think about.”
