The LIV Golf trading season is in full swing, and there has been plenty of movement ahead of the 2025 season, which starts in February.
With a marquee signing yet to materialise, low-level additions and departures have occurred.
The Iron Heads have signed Yubin Jang, and Dustin Johnson’s 4Aces have signed Thomas Pieters from the RangeGoats. Another side on the lookout for new players is Jon Rahm‘s Legion XIII after Kieran Vincent’s departure.
Kieran Vincent reacts after LIV Golf exit confirmed
During the Andalucia Masters, Rahm revealed he was eyeing new players after Vincent finished in the drop zone at the end of the 2024 season.
Now, after Zimbabwean failed to return to LIV via the International Series and Promotions Event, a new signing is non-negotiable for Legion.
After Vincent’s exit was confirmed, the 27-year-old took to Instagram to react to the news.
“A lot of people to thank through this one,” he wrote. “Once a Legion, always a Legion. Rooting for you guys always.”
Who will join Legion XIII in 2025?
With Tony Finau shutting down rumours linking him to LIV Golf, it’s unclear who Rahm and Legion will target next.
Given his close relationship with Rahm, the Salt Lake City native appeared to be the ideal candidate to replace Vincent.
Legion XIII’s vacancy feels like the spot LIV Golf officials will be looking to fill with a high-profile name. Along with Finau, Adam Scott and Thomas Detry have been linked in recent months.
PGA Tour stars Viktor Hovland and Hideki Matsuyama were also rumoured to be of interest to LIV during the 2024 season.
It is clear that if LIV starts the 2025 season without a marquee addition, questions about the future of the breakaway league will undoubtedly arise. A massive couple of weeks are in store for the PIF and the league’s high-profile decision-makers.
