The BMW PGA Championship 2024 starts on Thursday! The Golfing Gazette brings you how to watch, predictions, prize money, dates and everything you need to know.
The PGA Tour season is over so many of the world’s best golfers have now turned their attention to the DP World Tour.
Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry and Robert MacIntyre competed at last week’s Irish Open, with McIlroy just missing out on the title to Rasmus Hojgaard.
This week, the trio will be joined by Tommy Fleetwood, Adam Scott, Billy Horschel and more top players for what should be an excellent tournament.
Here is all the important information about the BMW PGA Championship 2024 – one of the five DP World Tour Rolex Series events.

Predictions
The Golfing Gazette writers predict who they think will lift the BMW PGA Championship trophy:
Jordan Harris: “Shane Lowry won this event in 2022 and registered a decent finish at the Irish Open last week, so he will be fairly confident about his chances at Wentworth over the coming days. Lowry just does not finish outside the top 20 at this tournament.”
Peter Lynch: “My pick for the BMW PGA Championship is Robert MacIntyre, who is enjoying himself this season with two PGA Tour wins. He also impressed at the Irish Open in T5 and should be feeling pretty relaxed going into the first tee after agreeing to partner fellow Scot Andy Murray in the Celebrity Pro-Am at Wentworth. The duo will be keen to fly the Scottish flag high in England, but I think MacIntyre has enough to quickly put his serious hat on and clinch another win.”
James Shearman: “Matthieu Pavon is a name that most golf fans would not have known until January this year when he became the first Frenchman to win on the PGA Tour since 1907. He has since finished tied for 12th at The Masters, 5th at the US Open and a respectable 17th at the Tour Championship. The 31-year-old is a fine player who is certainly capable of winning at Wentworth this week.”
