Predictions
The Golfing Gazette writers predict who they think will walk away with the 3M Open title and grand cash prize:
Sam Stone: “Sam Burns looks like a good pick here. The American carded an eye-catching six-under on day three of The Open in difficult conditions. Despite falling away on Sunday, the 28-year-old has reason to be positive heading to TPC Twin Cities. Given a weaker field has congregated, there’s an opportunity for Burns to push near the top end of the leaderboard. With six top-tens this season and some good major championship performances, it’s time for Louisiana native to finally put a win on the board.”
Jordan Harris: Akshay Bhatia is one of those players with a bit of a point to prove having failed to make the cut at The Open Championship and missing out on the Rocket Mortgage Classic title in June. He has already won on the PGA Tour this season, and this feels like a fantastic opportunity to get a second win of the year – while also boosting his Presidents Cup hopes.
