Wesley Bryan is arguably the most significant storyline at this weekend’s RSM Classic at Sea Island Golf Club in Georgia.

Bryan has taken the YouTube world by storm alongside his brother George. The duo have 475,000 subscribers, and their latest video saw Wes and George take on Bethpage Black ahead of the 2025 Ryder Cup.

However, Wesley’s focus this weekend is solely on maintaining his PGA Tour status for the 2025 season. The 34-year-old started The RSM Classic 125th in the FedEx Cup points list after an impressive performance at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship, where Bryan equalled the course record during the third round.

The YouTube star must maintain or better his position to be assured of a 2025 card, and Bryan is off to a solid start at Sea Island.

Starting his tournament at the Plantation Course, Bryan endured an eventful opening six holes. The American made four birdies and two bogeys before settling in with five back-to-back pars.

Bryan would then card two bogeys and two birdies on his back nine to finish the day two under and six shots back of the leader, Maverick McNealy.

Bryan is grouped with Joel Dahmen for the first two rounds, and the popular star of ‘Full Swing’ is also fighting for his PGA Tour life.

Dahmen is currently one over and in a tie for 101st after shooting a disappointing 70 on Thursday. The American will know improvement is required if he’s to cement his PGA Tour future.

Where Wesley Bryan is projected to finish

Bryan is facing several permutations as he seeks to secure his future on the PGA Tour. The YouTube star could miss the cut and still be assured of a card if others struggle.

Right now, Bryan is projected to fall one spot to 126th in the standings. However, he’s playing the Seaside Course on Friday, which is where the final two rounds will be played.

One birdie, however, will see Bryan leap to 121 in the standings and on course to earn a spot on tour.

Elsewhere, Zac Blair, who is playing alongside Bryan, is also projected to drop from 123 to 127 and Dahmen from 124 to 128. Dylan Wu and Adrien Dumont de Chassart are the big movers who are projected to jump into the top 125.
