YouTube golf star Wesley Bryan faces a big four days at this weekend’s RSM Classic at Sea Island Golf Club.

Bryan is currently ranked 125th in the FedEx Cup points list and needs a big week to earn his PGA Tour card for the 2025 season.

34-year-old Bryan equalled the course record at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship but eventually finished T17 after a disappointing final round. Fans were angry at Bryan’s lack of coverage in Bermuda; however, it’s an issue that won’t emerge this week.

Bryan is set to be grouped with FedEx Cup 123, Zac Blair, and 124, Joel Dahmen, at The RSM Classic. The three players on or around the magical 125 mark will receive featured coverage.

And it’s a decision which fans have lauded.

“That’s a great pairing. Great storylines. They should be a featured group on TV,” wrote @Marksteward7 on X.

@michaelgrange added: “All-time YouTube grouping.”

@golffan123456 said: “Love it though – good idea from the tour!”

Bryan’s outing at the RSM comes just hours after he released a YouTube video of himself, Grant Horvat and George Bryan IV taking on Bethpage Black. Wesley carded a five-under 65 at the Ryder Cup venue during the trio’s second round.

With expectations high, fans are looking forward to seeing the American in PGA Tour action.

“Wes and Joel is also money,” @up_glove wrote. While @vortexdzn added: “Holy COW, they’re actually showing @wesleybryangolf!”

Finally, @natebrk praised the PGA Tour’s decision: “Wes and Joel is what the people wanted. Good on ya.”

What Wesley Bryan must do to earn PGA Tour card

Bryan currently sits on the bubble and needs a victory to 100% guarantee his full card. However, other permutations will allow Bryan to keep his PGA Tour status.

Henrik Norlander is Bryan’s nearest chaser and is only nine points behind the YouTube star. Norlander needs at least a two-way tie for 49th to threaten the top 125. If Bryan makes the cut, Norlander would need an improved finish.

Dahmen, who is just above Bryan, needs a T2 or better to guarantee his status regardless of what anyone else does. Currently, Jacob Bridgeman, at 109, is the lowest-ranked player to be guaranteed a tour card.
