It was a day to forget for the United States as Mike Weir’s International side fought back on day two of the Presidents Cup at Royal Montreal Golf Club.

The International Team were in inspired form and won all five matches to level the scoreboard. It’s the first time in Presidents Cup history that two clean sweeps have occurred for opposite teams in the first two sessions.

Hideki Matsuyama and Sungjae Im dismantled Furyk’s potent Xander Schauffele-Patrick Cantlay pairing in the lead match, and Scottie Scheffler and Russell Henley fell to defeat on the 18th after a hard-fought game against Si Woo Kim and Byeong Hun An.

Another defeat came in the third match as Brian Harman and Max Homa lost on the 18th. There’s been scepticism over Harman’s inclusion, and angry USA fans have now made their mind up on the lefty.

Harman lost over three strokes to the rest of the field on Friday and was statistically the second-worst-performing American behind Sahith Theegala.

And USA fans have made their thoughts known online.

“Brian Harman just floored Homa today. Can’t fault him from missing from 179 cause Not like Brian going to save him. Horrendous performance,” Ryan D wrote on X.

“Max Homa and Brian Harman have no business on this team. Pairing them together is as dumb as it gets,” Brett Hoffman added.

USA fan Donny T wrote, “Why is Brian Harman on this team?”

“Brian Harman should be BANNED from representing the United States ever again,” said

Brian Harman lets down Max Homa on day two of the Presidents Cup

Unfortunately, Harman badly let down Homa during the Friday foursomes in Montreal.

Homa has faced some criticism online but was statistically the United States’ best player on Friday, ahead of Scheffler.

Per Data Golf, Homa gained 1.61 strokes on the field, which was the highest of any American player. Scheffler was a close second, gaining 1.41 strokes. The world number one, however, was slightly let down by Henley, who lost nearly 0.5 strokes during Friday’s play.

Correy Conners was the standout performer for the International Team, gaining 4.42 strokes during his side’s remarkable comeback.
