Tyrrell Hatton will look to take his momentum from the US Open into The Open Championship this week.

Hatton is one of 19 LIV Golf players at The Open, which is now underway at Royal Portrush in County Antrim, Northern Ireland.

He is down in 21st place in the LIV Golf individual standings, having just finished T23 at Andalucia, with no wins to his name this season.

But Hatton has impressed in this year’s major championships and in particular the US Open, where he finished T4.

Hatton has been tipped for Open contention at Portrush, where the Englishman is paired with Russell Henley and Min Woo Lee for rounds one and two.

“I would like to continue the momentum from a good US Open, that was the first chance I had to win a major so I enjoyed that major.

“It was similar to any golf tournament you are trying to win, although I would say it was marginally more intense, but I handled that really well, happy with how I played and I hope to give myself another chance.”

Hatton has also taken on The Masters and the PGA Championship in 2025, where he finished T14 and T60 respectively.

And he’s now appearing at The Open for the 13th time in his career, with his T5 finish at Royal Troon in 2016 his best yet.
