J.J. Spaun shocked the golfing world with his US Open win last month, with his Oakmont victory representing his maiden major championship success.
After impressing throughout the PGA Tour season, Spaun remarkably missed the cut at the Memorial Tournament right before the US Open.
But that setback was quickly forgotten at Oakmont, where the American edged out Robert MacIntyre by two shots.
Spaun is now looking for more success at the Scottish Open this week, which arrives right before The Open Championship.
But Spaun has found time to reminisce about his unforgettable week at Oakmont, and in particular his stunning 64-foot birdie putt on the 18th hole.

What J.J. Spaun thinks of how Tyrrell Hatton and Robert MacIntyre reacted after his US Open win
Having also been in contention that Sunday, MacIntyre was blown away by Spaun’s putt after his final round.
Meanwhile, Tyrrell Hatton watched Spaun’s putt during his post-round interview, with the champion now sharing his thoughts on their fantastic reactions.
He said on GOLF’s Subpar podcast of Hatton and MacIntyre: “Very [classy]. Tyrrell’s video is probably my favourite, not because of his reaction.
“But the cool thing about that video is that interview spot is probably 100 yards from the green and that roar is so f—— loud.
“You can really tell how loud it was from that video. That is like walk off, home run. It was pretty cool. They were good sports.
“I was cutting it up with Bobby Mac in the trailer before and we were calling it Pitts-borough because he’s from Edinburgh. Because it’s spelt burgh but the way they pronounce it is weird and he loved it! He’s a good dude.”
Does J.J. Spaun have an edge over Robert MacIntyre and Tyrrell Hatton at The Open Championship?
It was a stunning victory for Spaun, whose only other title on the PGA Tour arrived at the 2022 Valero Texas Open.
He stole the attention away from MacIntyre at Oakmont, but now the Scot has a fantastic chance to grab the headlines.

MacIntyre is also in the field for the Scottish Open, a tournament at which he also finished as runner-up in 2023.
But he was able to go one further in 2024, having also emerged victorious at the Canadian Open in the same year.
Hatton meanwhile will also be looking to clinch silverware this week, with LIV Golf Andalucia the latest event in the schedule.
But the tournaments at The Renaissance Club and Real Club Valderrama undoubtedly fall well short of next week’s event.
The Open returns to Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland, with Spaun, MacIntyre and Hatton all among the star-studded field.
It is, however, only the US Open champion who has a win to his name this season heading into the final major championship of 2025.
