Everyone knows all about Steph Curry’s incredible basketball career, but he’s also an excellent golfer.
Curry, who plays off a handicap of +1.3, has repeatedly expressed his love for the sport. He has even set up a junior tour, Underrated Golf.
The four-time NBA champion with the Golden State Warriors has also played alongside several PGA Tour stars, such as Justin Rose and Jordan Spieth.
However, the biggest celebrity he has ever walked the fairways with is probably the 44th president of the United States, Barack Obama.

Steph Curry reviewed Barack Obama’s golf game after playing together
Curry spoke to former PGA Tour winner Smylie Kaufman about all things golf back in 2023.
The 37-year-old revealed that he played a match with Obama as his teammate, against Spieth and Under Armour CEO Kevin Plank, at Dallas National Golf Club.
Curry shared that Obama made the winning putt and impressed him on the greens throughout the day.
“Jordan was an amazing host. Both he and Seth are members of the beautiful Dallas National,” Curry told Kaufman.
“It’s a great track. Kevin Plank and President Obama were in the group, and it was just amazing to be in that kind of company.
“[Obama] made the winning putt. It was me and President Obama against KP and Jordan. I was his biggest fan that day. He’s a nice, smooth lefty. He’s got a really good putting stroke.
“The long game could use some work. He knows that. Hopefully, in the free time that he’s had the last four or five years, he has gotten a little bit better.”
Jordan Spieth was amazed by Barack Obama’s match-winning putt
Jordan Spieth has also spoken about Obama’s golf game after losing to him and Curry in Dallas two years ago.
The three-time major champion even shared that he had “never seen anyone make the putt” that Obama did on the 18th hole.
“It was a neat experience. But so, you can’t lose to him because he’s going to go tell people and be like ‘I beat Jordan Spieth,’” Spieth said.
“So we had a two-on-two match, it came down to the last hole, and the president had like a ten-foot double breaker.
“It’s my home course, and I’ve never seen anyone make the putt. A small crowd had gathered like you’d expect, and he kind of said, ‘When there’s a crowd, I never miss.’
“And he steps up, knocks this perfect putt, perfect speed, centre of the hole and he won the match right there on the last hole and he just turned and said ‘told ya’ and we shook hands and walked off.”
