The Presidents Cup 2024 starts on Thursday! The Golfing Gazette brings you how to watch, prize money, dates and more.

It cannot compete with the Ryder Cup but the Presidents Cup is still a spectacle that most golf fans thoroughly enjoy.

There is something special about the best players in the world coming together to represent something bigger than themselves.

Unfortunately, it has often been one-sided with the United States team thrashing their opposition – but there is always the chance of an upset. Will it happen this year?

Everything you need to know about the Presidents Cup 2024

When will the Presidents Cup place?

The Presidents Cup will take place from Thursday the 26th of September 2024 until Sunday the 29th of September 2024.

Where will the Presidents Cup take place?

The Presidents Cup will be played on the Blue course at The Royal Montreal Golf Club. The venue is around an hour’s drive from Downtown Montreal.

Who won the last Presidents Cup?

The United States won the 2022 Presidents Cup 17.5-12.5. They thoroughly outplayed the International Team in both foursomes and fourballs, on Thursday and Friday, and built an 8-2 lead.

The International Team won five of the eight available points on Saturday and also held their own in the Sunday singles but it was too little too late.

Jordan Spieth (five points), Justin Thomas (four points) and Max Homa (four points) were the biggest difference makers at Quail Hollow Club.

Are LIV Golf players taking part in the Presidents Cup?

No. The Presidents Cup does not allow LIV Golf players to compete. All players must be on the PGA Tour.

These rules are different to the Ryder Cup where Brooks Koepka represented the United States last year.

Presidents Cup prize money

There is no prize money at the Presidents Cup. The event donates millions to charities nominated by the players, captains, and captains’ assistants.

How to watch the Presidents Cup (US)

Golf Channel will show live coverage on Thursday and Friday, plus an hour on Saturday morning. NBC will broadcast the action for the remainder of Saturday and on Sunday.
