Tiger Woods’ Jupiter Links Golf Club were thrashed by Los Angeles Golf Club in their first-ever TGL match at the SoFi Centre in Palm Beach.
Woods, Max Homa and Kevin Kisner fell 5-0 down within four holes of the 15-hole match. The alternate shot session would end 8-1 before Los Angeles GC won three more points in the singles to complete a 12-1 demolition job.
Despite Jupiter’s heavy defeat, the second night of action provided plenty of entertainment. Kisner was involved in a comical moment when he attempted to play out of a greenside bunker. He shanked his short bunker shot, sending the ball over the green, but almost managed to hole the long comeback chip.
The huge win for Los Angeles – made up of Justin Rose, Collin Morikawa and Sahith Theegala – sends them top of the TGL. Jupiter Links, after their heavy loss, head to the foot of the table.
Max Homa posts hilarious reaction after Jupiter Links GC lose opening TGL match

Before the TGL started, Homa insisted the product would be entertaining, and there could be few complaints after the second match.
Despite the scoreline, Jupiter Links GC vs Los Angeles GC was nonstop fun, which is precisely what the tech-infused venture is trying to achieve.
Six-time PGA Tour winner Homa even managed to stay light-hearted about the defeat when taking to social media after the second night’s action. “Apologies to all simulators worldwide. We failed u tonight,” he wrote on X.

TGL: How did Tiger Woods play?
The second TGL match was the first competitive golf Woods has played since the 2024 Open Championship at Royal Troon. And, after throwing down ‘The Hammer’ and crushing one down the middle of the first hole, the 15-time major winner looked in a confident mood.
However, after the points were shared on the opening hole, Woods found the water on the par-five second, allowing LAGC to win with a bogey.
Woods also ran into trouble when trying to get out of a bunker on the 13th. The American duffed his first effort before eventually making it onto the artificial putting surface.

Next up in the TGL is Xander Schauffele’s New York Golf Club vs. Atlanta Drive Golf Club on January 22, before Rory McIlroy’s Boston Common start their campaign against Woods’ Jupiter Links.
