Scottie Scheffler is the 2024 FedEx Cup champion after he produced some stunning golf to win out at East Lake.
Scheffler saved some of his best until last and he simply never let anyone get near as he finished the week at 30-under par to see off the field.
Collin Morikawa was his closest contender four shots behind while Sahith Theegala was six shots back.
Of course, Theegala took a two-shot penalty on day three and that put him a touch further behind than he might have been.
But for Scheffler, it was just business as usual as he produced some brilliant golf which pretty much summed up his year.
Scheffler’s win this weekend is his first Tour Championship win and going into the next few seasons, it feels hard to see anyone else winning if Scheffler maintains this form.
And over on social media, the compliments and praise have already started flooding in.

Unfortunately for Fitzpatrick, he was one of the players who didn’t make it into the top 30 shootout this week.
Fitzpatrick was at the centre of controversy just last week as he labelled rules officials a disgrace for not letting him change driver.
Thankfully, Fitzpatrick seems to have calmed down now and he’s taken time out of his day to send well-wishes to Scheffler after his win at East Lake.

As with great players in any sport, Scottie Scheffler’s impact is excellent for the sport in general as it pushes more to improve and be better.
Matt Fitzpatrick is one of those and despite getting to the summit and winning a US Open a few years back, the Sheffield-born star has not quite maintained that level.
‘Fitzy’ will look at a player like Scheffler and simply admire the consistency and brilliance on display.
Going into 2025, then, you get the feeling that a lot of players will be determined to try and hunt the world number one down.
