As the 2024 golf season draws to a conclusion at East Lake, one of the world’s biggest names in the sport has confirmed he’s had surgery to try and get ready for the 2025 season.
As Scottie Scheffler leads the charge to win his first FedEx Cup title, there are some names who are not at East Lake who normally might be.
The likes of Justin Thomas only just crept into the top 30 after the BWM Championship and Thomas admitted he was delighted to have made it.
However one of Thomas’ best friends in the game, Jordan Spieth, is not at the Tour Championship.
Spieth had a poor season really in 2024 and came nowhere near the levels which saw him win three majors between 2015 and 2017.
But in fairness to Spieth, there was a reason.
Spieth confirmed a few weeks ago that he required surgery on a wrist injury in what looked like a key reason for his form being so off.
And now, taking to social media to update his fans, Spieth has given the latest on his injury.

Jordan Spieth confirms successful surgery and plans for 2025
Taking to social media platform X to give an update on his situation, Spieth has posted some words on how things are going.
And in good news, it seems the former world number one has had successful surgery and is now focussed on his rehab and getting ready for the 2025 golf season.
A fully fit and firing Jordan Spieth is one of the best sights in golf and it has been sad to see his demise really.

However, this is a player who – in golf terms – is still very young at just 31 and he has ample time to get back to his best.
Spieth is a multiple major winner and if he can solve this wrist issue, get some confidence back, and get the putter back as hot as it used to be, then more majors can follow.
