With the LIV Golf off-season in full swing at the moment, there is so much speculation about potential new signings ahead of the 2025 season and one team on the circuit has caused a stir by suggesting they’re set to make three new signings.
With many of the top players on LIV remaining for 2025, the absolute star names will remain very much the same as 2024.
However, with contracts coming to an end in certain teams and captains looking to improve their squads, there could well be new signings.

Indeed, one LIV GM has said multiple top players want to sign, while Sergio Garcia’s Fireballs are openly looking for a new face.
However, Kevin Na’s Iron Heads are also set to make moves and they’ve caused a stir by announcing that they’ll be making THREE new signings.
Iron Heads GC to sign three new players with fans hinting at Hideki Matsuyama again
It looks like from the announcement that Kevin Na will keep his place as captain of the Iron Heads but beyond that, little is known.
It means that Danny Lee, Jinichiro Kozuma, and Scott Vincent look set to lose their spots, with replacements being looked at.
Of course, Greg Norman admitted to wanting Hideki Matsuyama on LIV and a number of fans have speculated in the comments that the Japanese star could be coming.
Why Hideki Matsuyama is unlikely to join Iron Heads GC
While there’ll be some excitement among the LIV fans about these new signings, it would be a big surprise to see Hideki Matsuyama as one of them.
If LIV do sign such a big name as Matsuyama, then surely he will be given his own team as a captain, such is his pulling power in the game and in Japan?
A Masters winner signing to LIV and not being given the star treatment seems unlikely, especially given how they’ve rolled out the red carpet to the likes of Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau.
Quite who the new signings could be, remains to be seen. Tony Finau has been linked with a move to LIV, while Viktor Hovland has hinted he’d be open to LIV as well.
Even still, Hovland and Finau are big names in themselves and are unlikely to play under Na at the Iron Heads.
In all probability, the Iron Heads are more likely to snap up some free agents from the current LIV scene, rather than delve into the depths of the PGA Tour ranks for new players.
