Justin Thomas has sneaked through to the Tour Championship next week after claiming the 30th and last spot.
Thomas was initially out of the running after his final round and Thomas himself admitted he was just going to go home and see how it played out.
However, in the end, the two-time major winner just did enough and he now finds himself preparing for East Lake and a chance at finishing the season well.
Of course, Thomas stands little chance of winning given he’ll start at even par.

Still, he’s there and in the mix, unlike good friend and playing partner yesterday, Max Homa.
Homa has finished outside the top 30 after an inconsistent year but he did play well yesterday, finishing at five-under on the day.
However, despite being good friends, Thomas admitted that he’d have liked to have seen Homa play a bit worse to help his own cause.

Speaking to the media after initially looking like he’d missed out on the top 30, Thomas was quizzed on if he enjoyed seeing good friend Max Homa play well.
And surprisingly, Thomas suggested he’d have rather seen his good buddy drop a few shots.
“It wasn’t really that great. I wish he would have shot 4-under instead of 5-under. It would have helped me a lot. I told him, I said when he made that putt on 17, I had some kind words for him as we were walking off,” Thomas said.
“But yeah, Max and I have always been close, but we’ve somehow become closer, and I think we’re kind of — we call each other kind of “accountabilibuddies.”
“We feel like we say stuff to each other that maybe other guys wouldn’t say because we’re competitors and we’re trying to beat each other, but we’re very similar and we both want what’s best for each other.
“It’s fun together playing on a Sunday, just not the second group off.”
Homa is very much considered one of the more popular players out on the PGA Tour, with Michael Block revealing recently just how funny Homa is.
This comment from Thomas, of course, is a touch tongue in cheek.
But still, it shows the competitive nature of the PGA players and in the end, Thomas got his wish with a place in the FedEx finale.
