We see plenty of stories about who the funniest and most likeable people are in sports and Michael Block has had his say on who that is in the world of golf.
Block has had quite the time in golf since 2023 when he caught the eye playing as a club pro in the PGA Championship.
During that particular PGA Championship event, Block finished in the top 15 and also recorded a remarkable hole in one while playing alongside Rory McIlroy in one of the most memorable moments in golf in recent times.
Since then, Block has become more of a household name and has done multiple big media events and also played in the 2024 PGA, albeit this time he missed the cut.

Still, Block remains a popular player whenever he is out on course and he’s been full of praise for some fellow professionals as well.
However, when tasked with naming the funniest out on the PGA Tour, Block admitted there’s one guy who isn’t quite the same in real life as he is online.
Michael Block claims Max Homa is not as funny in real life
Admitting he’d not really thought about the question too much before, Block came up with the name of Max Homa when asked who is the funniest.
However, there was a caveat in Block’s comments, as he suggested the 33-year-old isn’t quite the same in real life.
“I haven’t really thought about but you know, Max (Homa) is great, he’s funny, especially on Twitter, I mean he’s not as funny live as he is on Twitter,” Block said on the Tubes and Ange Life YouTube channel.
“He’s a funny guy. Great personality and he’s got a great mind for stuff.”
Block then went on to praise a number of other players as he namechecked the likes of Freddy Couples, Min Woo Lee, Adam Scott, and Rickie Fowler as people he had a lot of time for.

Homa loves interacting on social media and he’s always good for a funny comment or two, so Block’s assessment here isn’t a surprise.
Homa caught the eye when brilliantly mocked losing to Scottie Scheffler at the PGA at Valhalla, while Homa’s also hilariously blamed his wife in the past for an apparent downturn in form.
Of course, Block’s comments here about Homa being different in real life are a touch tongue in cheek as well, so there’s no malice there at all.
The 33-year-old hasn’t had the best year on the PGA Tour this year, finishing inside the top ten just three times and failing to win.
2025, then, will be where Homa hopes to start getting back to winning ways.
