Julien Guerrier clinched his maiden DP World Tour title after a thrilling play-off win at the Andalucia Masters.
Jon Rahm predicted low scores if the wind stayed away at the Andalucia Masters, having recently lost out in a play-off at the Open de Espana.
Once again playing on home soil, Rahm was chasing an 11th DP World Tour title at Real Club de Sotogrande.
But it was Frenchman Guerrier who emerged victorious at the Andalucia Masters, edging out another Spaniard in Jorge Campillo.
Guerrier secured the title on his 230th start, and he was certainly made to work hard for the success by Campillo.

Fresh from his Open de Espana win, Angel Hidalgo was among those in contention for the title at one point during the Andalucia Masters.
Hidalgo caught the eye of Max Homa in Spain, but the former eventually faded away to finish T20 alongside several others.
England’s Dan Brown meanwhile took solo third, one shot ahead of compatriot Jordan Smith and Rasmus Hojgaard in T4 as Rahm finished sixth.

As quoted by the DP World Tour website, an emotional Guerrier analysed his win shortly after the lengthy play-off, saying: “I can’t believe it because Jorge is a great player. I knew it would be really hard because his putting is amazing.
“Also my iron game was not in good shape today but my putting was really good. So I was trying to do my best and I’m really happy.”
