Jorge Campillo is the pacesetter at the Andalucia Masters after carding a stunning 65 on day two at Sotogrande.
The Spaniard started the day two shots back before firing five birdies to open up a four-shot lead heading into the weekend.
The highlight of Campillo’s round came at the 11th after he holed out for eagle, and the 38-year-old was particularly impressed.

Speaking after his second round, Campillo admitted that the eagle was a great way to set the tone early on in his round.
“I made a good putt on ten to save par, and then the eagle on 11 was a great way to set the tone,” the Spaniard said.
“It was a tough pitch shot, but that’s the best part of my game. I hit it perfectly, and it went in the hole, which was nice.”
Campillo continued: “I’m feeling good, and although I have played a lot of events, I feel like I have been playing better recently. I just love playing golf. I don’t feel too tired, and shooting 15 holes under 36 doesn’t feel tiring for me.
“I’ve been putting the ball in play off the tee, hitting my irons great and then making the short putts.”
Jon Rahm and Angel Hidalgo make moves at the Andalucia Masters
LIV star Jon Rahm also made a move during the second day at the Andalucia Masters.
The 2023 Masters champion carded a six-under 66 to place himself in contention heading into the weekend.
Angel Hidalgo, who won the Spanish Open, also joins Rahm at eight under after an impressive second-round performance.
Englishman Daniel Brown, who led 2024 The Open for much of the tournament, is currently in second and four shots back of Campillo.
With several in-form players jostling for position at the top of the leaderboard, another dramatic DP World Tour finish could well be in store.
