Jon Rahm found himself in contention at the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow, but ultimately fell short to Scottie Scheffler.
Rahm confused Brandel Chamblee at the PGA Championship earlier this month, where he finished T8 on four-under.
The Spaniard was chasing his third major championship win, having won the US Open and The Masters in 2021 and 2023 respectively.
But it was Scheffler who clinched his third career title, with the American having triumphed at The Masters in 2022 and 2024.
The PGA Tour star outlasted LIV Golf ace Rahm and many others at Quail Hollow, one of the most iconic courses in world golf.

Jon Rahm names his favourite course and his most trusted club
Scheffler named Southern Hills as his favourite course back in 2022, with his fellow professional Rahm having now shared his verdict.
The Spaniard took part in a quick-fire Q&A for LIV Golf, in which he was asked for the favourite golf course he’s ever played.
“Pebble Beach,” he replied, with Rahm then responding “Driver” when asked for the most trusted club in his bag.
The one area of his game Jon Rahm wants to improve
Rahm has been enjoying himself on LIV Golf this season, with only Joaquin Niemann and Bryson DeChambeau ahead of him in the individual standings.
The Legion XIII captain is, however, yet to taste victory in 2025, although he has impressively finished in the top 10 of all seven events thus far.

Still, there is room for improvement in the eyes of the two-time major champion, who finished T14 at The Masters before his top 10 finish at the PGA Championship.
Asked if he could improve one aspect of his game, the 30-year-old responded: “Distance control wedges.”

The former world number one also picked out his most meaningful professional win and his childhood hero, opting for The Masters in 2023 and legendary figure Seve Ballesteros respectively.
Rahm will soon turn his focus back to major championship golf, with the US Open returning to the calendar next month.
The tournament returns to Oakmont, with his fellow LIV Golf player DeChambeau looking to defend his title from 2024.
Both players do, however, have a prior commitment, with LIV Golf Virginia taking place at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in early June.
