So many European players had impressive performances at the Ryder Cup in September.
Tommy Fleetwood, Rory McIlroy, Tyrrell Hatton, and Jon Rahm all scored more than three points each.
Some less experienced players, including Robert MacIntyre and Ludvig Aberg, also contributed significantly at Bethpage Black.
Johnson Wagner has now discussed which member of the European team he expects to build on their performance in the 2026 PGA Tour season.

Johnson Wagner predicts Robert MacIntyre to win multiple PGA Tour events in 2026
Johnson Wagner has predicted Robert MacIntyre to have an excellent 2026 after developing so much in the last few years.
MacIntyre won the Canadian Open and the Scottish Open in 2024 and the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship last month.
He recently moved up to seventh in the Official World Golf Ranking and has to be recognized as a top player.
The next step for the Scotsman is to win a major championship, which Wagner thinks he is capable of doing sooner rather than later.
“I think it’s Robert MacIntyre. I love this guy. He has won twice on the PGA Tour,” Wagner explained on 5 Clubs.
“He won his native open, the Scottish Open. The way he played, he nearly won the US Open at Oakmont this year.
“I just think, with the way he plays, the fire that he plays with, and the desire that he has, I see him contending at majors and winning multiple times.”
Brendon de Jonge expects Ludvig Aberg to have a better year than Robert MacIntyre
Former PGA Tour player Brandon de Jonge disagreed with Wagner’s take on the most promising European Ryder Cup player.
Instead of MacIntyre, De Jonge picked Ludvig Aberg as the player who will kick on and have a great 2026 season.
“I think it’s Aberg,” he responded. “This guy came out all guns blazing. He kind of took a step back this year. I’d say he took a big step back.
“He just needs to clean things up a little bit. I’d look out for Aberg to pick off a major next year.”
Aberg was expected to have a much better 2025 season than he did, so it would not be a surprise if that breakthrough happens a year later.
