Scottie Scheffler and Xander Schauffele produced a comical moment after their first round at the St Jude Championship – and golf fans absolutely loved it.
The pair have played a lot of golf together recently after representing Team USA at the Olympics and will likely see a lot more of each other over the coming weeks in the lead-up to the Tour Championship.
Schauffele and Scheffler are grouped at this week’s St Jude Championship, which kickstarts the PGA Tour playoff stretch. Both carded rounds of 66 and sit at four under, two shots back of leader Chris Kirk.
The entertainment, however, started during their post-round press conference. As Scheffler was answering questions, Schauffele posed as a reporter, leading to an extremely entertaining exchange.

A reporter asked: “Scottie, what do you think about your playing partner?”
Scheffler sarcastically replied: “No comment.” Another journalist asked: “Xander obviously knocked off a couple of majors; what do you like best?” Scheffler interrupted: “Who?”
“I find it a little weird that you guys are asking questions about him, and he’s literally right there,” Scheffler jokingly added.
And now golf fans have reacted to the post-round footage.

Schauffele and Scheffler cannot escape the headlines at the moment. Much of the discourse surrounding the first playoff event has centred around who has had a better season.
Patrick Cantlay claimed Scheffler is Player of the Year, whereas Viktor Hovland suggested he liked the sound of Schauffele’s double-major winning season.
Given both players’ form and position at the top of the FedEx Cup standings, the focus will be on how they perform in the season finale.
After their positive start at TPC Southwind, all signs suggest one of Scheffler or Schauffele will end up lifting the Tour Championship and lucrative FedEx Cup prize.
