There have been plenty of occasions where Bryson DeChambeau has demonstrated his immense golfing ability.
Whether it was DeChambeau’s spectacular hole-in-one over his house, his record-breaking 58 at Greenbrier or the 31-year-old’s final-round performance at the 2024 US Open, there are several examples of why the American is one of the best on the planet.
With the Masters Tournament fast approaching and his US Open defence at Oakmont in June, there’s every chance the LIV star adds another major to his record. When at his best, few can match him.
DeChambeau is competing at this week’s LIV Golf Adelaide event, and the two-time major winner believes he is still searching for what he produced in West Virginia two years ago.
Bryson DeChambeau names his best-ever round

Speaking to the media after Friday’s play, DeChambeau initially claimed he was still looking for a little bit more consistency within his golf swing.
“Yeah, every time I tee it up, I want to win. Last year, everybody said, oh, you’re just focused on the majors. Well, no, I was focused every time I went out and played a golf tournament. But what I’m really looking for is a golf swing that is just a little bit more consistent and repeatable. I’m getting close. I’m getting really, really close,” he explained.
DeChambeau then suggested that what he produced at Greenbrier was the pinnacle of his golfing performance.
“What I had at the U.S. Open was pretty darned good. It worked well. Obviously, it led to winning the U.S. Open, which was great. Want to get back to that form,” DeChambeau added.
“But I’m still searching for what I did so well at Greenbrier back in late ’23 when I shot 58. That was the best I’d ever hit the golf ball. I’m always striving to get back to that place and just trying to learn what it was that exactly clicked in that manner.”
Bryson DeChambeau’s strong start in 2025
DeChambeau is enjoying himself in Adelaide and started well during Friday’s opening round. The American made three birdies on the front nine, coming at the first, fourth, seventh and eighth. However, he was left to rue a double-bogey seven on the par-five ninth.
DeChambeau picked up three more birdies on the back nine to post 68. However, after beginning the second round well, DeChambeau made five back-nine bogeys to fall six shots back of the lead.
The American started the season well in Riyadh and ended the week inside the top ten at 13 under. As for DeChambeau’s team, Crushers GC, the quartet are fourth in the overall standings. Anirban Lahiri was 12th in Riyadh at 11 under, and Paul Casey ended the week in a tie for 18th.
DeChambeau will play LIV events in Hong Kong, Singapore and Florida before the year’s first major begins at Augusta National.
