20 players battled it out for a lucrative spot on the LIV Golf League as the Promotions event concluded at Riyadh Golf Club.
The final 36-hole finale saw Chinese Taipei star Chieh-po Lee run out victorious, two shots clear of Branden Grace and Taichi Kho.
Kieran Vincent, who was relegated from the LIV Golf League in 2024 along with Grace, finished ten shots back at even par.
Lee was cruising before a bogey at the 16th, which gave Grace and Kho a glimmer of hope. However, a stunning approach to the par-three 17th allowed the 28-year-old to par the last and secure a spot on the PIF-backed venture.
Chieh-po Lee reacts after securing LIV Golf status

Speaking immediately after the Promotions event, Lee was clearly looking forward to his first season in the breakaway league.
“Very happy now,” he said.
“Looking forward to playing next year on the LIV tour. Thanks for the International Series and the Asian Tour. It’s very good for my experience that I can play with many top players, we will learn a lot. See you next year!”
Who else has joined LIV Golf ahead of the 2025 season?
In addition to the Promotions event, LIV officials are eyeing further signings for the 2025 season, which starts in February.
Six-time PGA Tour winner Tony Finau was heavily linked, but the American has since shut down the speculation. Jon Rahm wants a new signing at Legion XIII, but the Spaniard has yet to conclude any business.
Thus far, there’s only been minimal action during the trading period. South Korean star Yubin Jang has signed for the Iron Heads, and Dustin Johnson’s 4Aces added Thomas Pieters to their ranks.
Pieters’ former employers, the RangeGoats, also have work to do with Bubba Watson’s future on the PIF-backed venture in doubt after his relegation in September.
