World number one Scottie Scheffler won gold at Le Golf National and now it is the women’s turn to compete for the Olympics title.

When will the Olympics golf take place?
The Paris 2024 Olympics women’s golf will run from Wednesday the 7th of August until Saturday the 10th of August.
Where will the Olympics golf take place?
The golf will be taking place at none other than Le Golf National, around 20 miles southwest of Paris. The course played host to the 2018 Ryder Cup.

Who won at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics?
Two-time major champion Nelly Korda (-17) won gold at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, having led for most of the tournament. She finished one shot ahead of Japan’s Mone Inami (-16) – who won the silver medal playoff – and New Zealand’s Lydia Ko.
Which players are taking part?
There will be 60 players competing for medals at Le Golf National this week. The top 15 players in the world rankings automatically qualified. The remaining players were also decided by world ranking but with a maximum of two players per country.
USA will have three participants – Nelly Korda, Lilia Vu and Rose Zhang – as they are all inside the top 15 in the world rankings.
Popular player Charley Hull will be representing Great Britain alongside best friend Georgia Hall this week.
What is the prize money?
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) will not give prize money to the winner. However, most nations hand out bonuses to athletes who win medals. For example, Team USA athletes who win gold at Paris 2024 will receive $37,500. This is still an insignificant amount for many of the world’s top golfers, though.
How to Watch (US)
The Paris 2024 Olympics women’s golf will be broadcast on GOLF Channel and Peacock all four days. The broadcast on Saturday will last an extra 30 minutes to show the medal ceremony.
