How much it costs to play Le Golf National as the Paris 2024 Olympics men’s golf concludes

Le Golf National has just hosted a thrilling Olympics competition and now many golf fans will be wondering whether they can take to the course themselves.

The 2024 Olympics will go down as one of the greatest golf tournaments of all time. There were so many top players in contention until the very end.

Silver medallist Tommy Fleetwood, bronze medallist Hideki Matsuyama and the likes of Rory McIlroy, Xander Schauffele and Jon Rahm all had the opportunity to win gold on the back nine on Sunday.

They were no match for world number one Scottie Scheffler, though, whose nine-under final round meant that he stood on the top step of the podium.

The American’s performance would have inspired many golfers around the world to get their clubs out.

And, where better to test your game than the very course that hosted an exceptional Olympic Games?

Courses at Le Golf National

There are 45 holes at Le Golf National, across three courses. The most famous is L’Albatros (the Albatross), which was used for the Olympics, the 2018 Ryder Cup and Open de France. The course plays 7,331 yards and the par score is 72 (par 71 for the Olympics).

L’Aigle (the Eagle) is the other 18-hole course at the club. It is a par 71 with a yardage of only 6,224, meaning it is more suitable for recreational golfers than the Albatross.

L’Oiselet (the Birdie) is a short nine-hole course with a total par is 32. The length of the Birdie is 2,138 yards, at an average of 238 yards per hole.

How much it costs to play Le Golf National

The cost of playing a round on the Albatross course at Le Golf National varies depending on the time of year. In the days after the Olympics golf ends (the women’s competition finishes on Sunday, August 11th), the price is €280 ($307), while it reduces to €210 ($230) in the Autumn.

A round on the Eagle course costs much less – €92 ($101) even at peak times. Caddies are also available on either course for €160 ($175) per player, while golf carts cost €50 ($55) to rent.

Can anyone play Le Golf National?

Le Golf National is open to the public and there are no handicap requirements. Tee times can be booked online, though they are not available until August 13 – once the Olympics golf is over.

How much is a membership at Le Golf National?

The cost of annual membership at Le Golf National is unknown but it will certainly not come cheap.
