Keegan Bradley has been keeping a low profile since the Ryder Cup, where he captained the USA to defeat against Team Europe.

Bradley has questions to answer following his Ryder Cup captaincy, having been in charge of his side’s 15-13 defeat last month.

There have been calls for Bradley to remain as Ryder Cup captain despite the defeat, but it remains to be seen what decision the PGA of America will take.

The team tournament returns in 2027, when the Europeans welcome their USA rivals to Adare Manor in Ireland.

Bradley will return to golf at the Skins Game next month, having enjoyed a successful season before the Ryder Cup.

Bradley won the Travelers Championship earlier this year, claiming the eighth PGA Tour win of his fantastic career so far.

Impressing from the tee has been key to his success, with the American having once shared his approach from that area for Golf Digest.

Offering a demonstration back in 2013, he said: “My two favorite tips for hitting it solid off the tee are pretty simple.

“First off, if I really need to hit a fairway, I am going to hit the ball hard. I’m not going to try to steer it on the fairway, I’m going to go ahead and rip at it.

“Second of all, I really like to relax my forearms and my body in order to have my body be freed up to hit the ball straight.”

How Keegan Bradley hit short irons shots low on command

Shortly after giving that expert advice, Bradley shared his strategy for hitting short iron shots low when required.

He explained: “When I try to hit the ball lower, I take one extra club, stand a little bit closer to it, put the ball back in my stance.

“And when you stand a little closer to it, you choke up, just down on the grip a little bit. And I still like to hit it hard, and that should keep the ball below the wind.”

Bradley will be eager to get back on the course as soon as possible, this time as a player as opposed to a captain.

He enjoyed a purple patch at one stage of his latest season, during which he claimed one win and six top 10s from his 21 starts.

The 2011 PGA Championship winner missed two cuts, and finished T7 in the FedExCup after a strong end to his campaign.

His legacy will, however, be somewhat tarnished in the eyes of many American fans after what happened at Bethpage Black.
