Now that the Ryder Cup has finished, Europe and Team USA’s captains can return to their day jobs.
Luke Donald is straight back in playing after leading Europe to back-to-back Ryder Cup victories. Donald is being discussed as one of the greatest captains of all time after his achievements in Rome and New York, but as he considers his future in the role, he’s headed to New Delhi for the DP World India Championship.
Donald is competing at the event alongside some of his Ryder Cup team. He was paired with Tommy Fleetwood and Shane Lowry in the opening two rounds, weeks after Lowry sank the Ryder Cup retaining putt.
Here is how he is getting on through the first two rounds of action in India.

Luke Donald has best result since PGA Championship
Playing at the Delhi Golf Club suits Donald’s game perfectly. Tiger Woods described it as the narrowest course he had played back in 2014, and that’s been on full display this week.
Rory McIlroy is among the many players who haven’t hit their driver in India because of the tightness of the course. Missing the claustrophobic fairways can cause golf balls to fly into the Indian jungle, which is a scorecard wrecker.
That’s no issue for Donald, who even in his prime wasn’t the longest hitter off the tee box. His accuracy and course management are allowing him to lean on his experience and navigate this course with calm composure.
He shot an opening round 68 in his first post-Ryder Cup action, and then followed up with a 71 to go five-under going into the weekend. That saw Donald make the cut for the first time since the PGA Championship in May.
At seven shots back from the lead, held by Fleetwood, Donald is on for a brilliant result in India.
When Keegan Bradley will make his return after the Ryder Cup
Keegan Bradley’s silence after the Ryder Cup has been deafening, but he should be keen to showcase his playing ability after what was a disappointing event for Team USA in New York.
While Bradley’s captaincy was a failure, he still ranked within the top 12 Americans as a player going into the tournament and could well have been a playing captain. He’ll likely be itching to drop his captaincy duties and return to play.
Bradley took a well-earned break after the Ryder Cup, but a date for his return has been announced. He’ll be taking two members of his Ryder Cup team, Xander Schauffele and Justin Thomas, and one of his opponents, Fleetwood, in the return of the Skins Game.
The Skins Game, back after a 17-year hiatus, will see Bradley do battle for millions of dollars over 18 holes. Bradley and the other players will start with $1 million, and either win or lose money depending on their performance on each hole.
The event will take place on November 28, two months after the Ryder Cup, as Bradley looks to make up for his loss as Team USA captain with a big cash prize.
