The PGA Tour and LIV Golf continue to go their separate ways, with many of their players having just come together for The Masters.

A total of 12 LIV Golf players joined their PGA Tour counterparts at Augusta National, where the latter’s Rory McIlroy came out on top.

McIlroy led LIV Golf star Bryson DeChambeau by two shots going into the final round, in which the duo were paired together.

But McIlroy edged over the line as DeChambeau fell back to finish T5, with Patrick Reed leading the way for LIV Golf as he finished third.

The PGA Tour now rapidly moves on to the RBC Heritage this week, with LIV Golf Mexico City next up for the Saudi-backed tour later this month.

But controversy shortly after the conclusion of The Masters has implicated both, with the PGA Tour indefinitely suspending Wesley Bryan for competing in The Duels on LIV Golf.

Golf fans have criticised the PGA Tour for suspending Bryan, particularly after another competitor in The Duels, Grant Horvat, was just handed a sponsor invite for the Barracuda Championship later this year.

Horvat won the Creator Classic that took place before the Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass, but the PGA Tour event was then outshone by the similar tournament from LIV Golf, with fans loving The Duels Miami.

The latter could now take their viewership to another level by handing out an invite of their own, this time to Bryan in Mexico City, who incidentally clinched his only PGA Tour win at the 2017 RBC Heritage.

The Duels Miami surpasses two million views on Grant Horvat Golf

As mentioned, The Duels, won by Sergio Garcia and Wesley Bryan’s brother George Bryan, has attracted more interest than the Creator Classic.

The Miami event for content creators garnered over one million views in 24 hours, with the competition at TPC Sawgrass needing over three weeks to hit that target.

Broadcast on Horvat’s YouTube channel earlier this month, it currently boasts over two million views and counting, which of course LIV Golf will be delighted about.

But the breakaway tour has now been handed a fine opportunity amid Bryan’s current predicament, given both his profile and his treatment by the PGA Tour.
