The PGA Tour continues this week with the Texas Children’s Houston Open, but many eyes are already turning to the Masters.
Dan Rapaport is surprised Luke Clanton has no Masters invite as of yet, with time running out between now and the first major championship of 2025 at Augusta National.
Defending champion Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy meanwhile are both taking on the Houston Open this week, in a bid to continue fine-tuning their games for the Masters.
Scheffler and McIlroy have been tipped for Masters contention, with the former chasing a third title and the latter chasing a first.
It is the only major championship that has so far eluded the Northern Irishman, while it is the only one that the American has won in his career so far.

When Tom Weiskopf shot 13 at the par-3 12th at the 1980 Masters
Both will be aiming to conquer every challenge thrown their way at Augusta early next month, and that includes the formidable Amen Corner.
Comprising holes 11, 12 and 13, the iconic section of the iconic course has played host to countless make-or-break moments over the years.
And coming bang in the middle is the par-3 12th, which is known as Golden Bell, with White Dogwood and Azalea arriving on either side.
Plenty of memorable moments have played out at Golden Bell, but Tom Weiskopf found himself on the wrong side of history there back in 1980.

As per the Masters website, the late, great Weiskopf carded a 13 at the 12th at the 1980 edition of the tournament, the highest score ever made on the hole.
Somewhat unsurprisingly, he missed the cut in Georgia as Seve Ballesteros clinched the Green Jacket for the very first time in his career.
Tiger Woods echoes Tom Weiskopf Masters struggles in 2020
American icon Weiskopf enjoyed a stellar PGA Tour career, clinching a superb 16 wins from his 476 tournaments.
And that includes a fantastic success at The Open Championship in 1973, when he edged out Neil Coles and Johnny Miller at Royal Troon.

He will, of course, be remembered for such heroics, while he certainly wasn’t the only man to have struggled on the 12th at Augusta.
A certain Tiger Woods made the news for all the wrong reasons on the par-3 at the 2020 Masters, with the five-time winner posting a hugely forgetful 10 in his final round.
Woods inexplicably hit three balls into the water on his way to recording the highest score he’d ever taken on one hole in his entire PGA Tour career.
