Tiger Woods sadly won’t be featuring at the Masters this year, but his Augusta National legacy will live on for some time.
Rick Shiels thinks Woods is a class above, with the latter boasting 82 PGA Tour wins in his phenomenal career.
Woods has won 15 major championships, but is now sidelined for the foreseeable future after undergoing Achilles surgery.
Ludvig Aberg has wished Woods well after his ruptured Achilles injury, which he sustained while stepping up his preparations for a return to the course.
The 49-year-old has yet to appear on the PGA Tour this season, which continues this week with the Valspar Championship.

Tiger Woods said controlling trajectory was the ‘most important thing at Augusta’ in 2001
The event comes immediately after the Players Championship, a tournament Woods has won twice in his career.
And he previewed the Masters after his first win at TPC Sawgrass in 2001, having been asked in his winning press conference how he felt about his game going into the major.
“I feel pretty good,” he replied. “My practice sessions this week have been pretty good. My short game, I feel as if… I’m pretty happy with it.
“The shots I was working on this week before Augusta, I felt that I’m very pleased on some of the shots, and I will continue to probably work on the most important thing at Augusta, and that’s control your trajectory, and hopefully that will get a little bit better.”
Tiger Woods had ‘no doubt’ he was heading in right direction before 2001 Masters win
It’s fair to say that the hard work that Woods was putting in paid off, with the American going on to win the Masters a month after that Players Championship win.
Having battled past Vijay Singh at TPC Sawgrass by one shot, he beat David Duval by two shots at Augusta.
It represented a second Masters title for Woods, with that success helping him clinch what is now known as the Tiger Slam, with all four majors won consecutively.
The perfect preparation for the fourth and final win was carried out at TPC Sawgrass, where Woods was also asked if he felt if he was on pace to peak at Augusta.

“I feel as if I’m headed in the right direction, no doubt about that,” he replied. “The shots that I am hitting now, I feel very pleased at what I am able to do on the golf course.
“I’m pleased at the changes I’ve made in my game, and they are starting to come together, which is nice. It’s nice to see a lot of hard work paying off. That’s what it’s about.”
