The Masters is rapidly approaching, with Scottie Scheffler looking to defend his title at Augusta National.
Scheffler was frustrated with his putting ahead of the Players Championship, where the American finished T20.
But he remains the player to watch going into the Masters, having won the major championship in 2022 and 2024.
Rory McIlroy is, however, the latest PGA Tour champion, with the four-time major winner triumphing at the Players Championship.
The pair currently occupy numbers one and two in the Official World Golf Ranking, although the Masters is the only major championship that McIlroy has failed to win.

LIV Golf duo Jon Rahm and Joaquin Niemann named as Masters contenders
It is that duo who Golf Channel contributor Ron Sirak has identified as favourites for the first major championship of 2025, but a handful of LIV Golf players are also in his thoughts.
“Scottie and Rory are the no-brainers,” he said on Golf Channel. “They are clearly 1 and 1A up there. I am looking for Ludvig Aberg to get a breakthrough win this year.
“We have to see what is going to go on with Xander Schauffele. Then we have a couple of the LIV guys who are going to be in the mix, Jon Rahm and Joaquin Niemann.

“Collin Morikawa I can’t figure out exactly what is going on with him. He seems to be a little confused and struggling with something out there. But there are a ton of great names out there.
“If you want to go for some long shots, just for the entertainment value, Min Woo Lee and Tom Kim would be a hoot to win. They are fun to be around.”
Joaquin Niemann and Jon Rahm in form ahead of the Masters
Rahm has, of course, already tasted Masters success, with the LIV Golf star winning at Augusta National in 2023.
The Legion XIII captain currently occupies second place in the LIV Golf individual standings this season, behind only Niemann.
The Torque GC captain sits top spot thanks to his stunning start to 2025, with Niemann already a two-time winner, like McIlroy on the PGA Tour.

How are Masters ‘long shots’ Min Woo Lee and Tom Kim doing on the PGA Tour?
Both Woo Lee and Kim have been enjoying their time on TGL in 2025, but they will undoubtedly be more focused on their PGA Tour exploits.
The former has yet to win in his career, with that lack of experience perhaps the main reason behind his dramatic collapse at the Players Championship.

Woo Lee was joint top after two rounds at TPC Sawgrass but finished T20 after two disappointing rounds, while Kim finished back in T42.
The latter is a three-time PGA Tour champion, and like the Australian has made five cuts so far this season, although Kim has played one more event.
