Another dramatic PGA Tour season has reached its conclusion, fittingly ending with Sami Valimaki’s success at The RSM Classic.

Valimaki made PGA Tour history as the first winner from Finland, having claimed a one-shot victory at Sea Island Golf Club last week.

Scheffler joined the PGA Tour record books for his scoring in 2025 as well, while his fellow American Max McGreevy also achieved a stunning feat on the course.

Hugely impressively, McGreevy hit 60 consecutive fairways throughout the latest season on the PGA Tour.

It equates to almost four-and-a-half rounds without missing a fairway, and is the second-longest streak in PGA Tour history since such data was available in 1992.

In November 2023, Adam Long set the record on day one of the Butterfield Bermuda Championship with 69.

That overtook the previous record of 59 successive fairways hit, which was set by Brian Claar back in 1992.

What is Max McGreevy’s history on the PGA Tour?

Not only did McGreevy fail to win on the PGA Tour in 2025 despite his superb efforts on the fairway, but he’s yet to win in his career.

The 30-year-old American, who turned pro in 2017, is winless from his 98 appearances on the PGA Tour so far.

He’s finished as runner-up on two occasions, including a near miss to Valimaki at The RSM Classic in Georgia, while McGreevy has a 39/98 record for cuts made.

He’s earned $4,135,170 in prize money, and just finished 60th in the FedExCup standings, one spot ahead of three-time major winner Jordan Spieth.

The ranking, within spots 51-60, has ensured that McGreevy qualifies for the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and The Genesis Invitational in 2026.
