The conclusion of the 2025 PGA Tour season provides a fantastic opportunity to reflect on what was another remarkable year for Scottie Scheffler, with the world number one managing to win six times.

It is already bizarre to look back on how long Scottie Scheffler took to get going in 2025. He went into the season off the back of a hand injury which ruled him out for a number of weeks.

Phil Mickelson even predicted Scheffler would not win again before the Ryder Cup.

Who is the better player: Rory McIlroy or Scottie Scheffler?

The LIV Golf star could have hardly been more wrong.

Scheffler went on to clinch six victories, including the PGA Championship and The Open Championship. He is now just a US Open win away from completing the Career Grand Slam.

The 29-year-old also did not finish outside the top 10 in a PGA Tour event after The Players Championship in March. So perhaps it is no surprise that Scheffler has managed to achieve something not seen since Tiger Woods‘ historic 2000 season.

According to Justin Ray on X, Scheffler has become only the second player of the last 40 years to lead the scoring averages in all four rounds across a PGA Tour season.

It is truly incredible that Scheffler does not average higher than 68.5 strokes per day in any of the four rounds throughout the season.

Obviously, his consistency is one of his greatest strengths. Ricky Castillo was lauding Scheffler’s mindset after the final round of The RSM Classic having played alongside him at The CJ CUP Byron Nelson earlier this year.

You can almost guarantee that Scheffler will be taking absolutely nothing for granted heading into 2026.

He will have seen plenty that he feels that he needs to work on. And, worryingly for his peers, he will probably feel that there are improvements to be made.
