Wyndham Clark was part of the USA team that lost the 2023 Ryder Cup in Rome, and the former US Open champion believes he’s learned from several mistakes made 12 months ago.
Clark is part of Jim Furyk’s 12-man United States team for the upcoming Presidents Cup at Royal Montreal Golf Club.
The 30-year-old, one of six Presidents Cup players at this week’s Procore Championship, is looking to fine-tune his game before making the trip to Quebec in under two weeks.
Clark finished the PGA Tour season well, and the American has insisted he’s learnt from how he prepared for last year’s Ryder Cup.

Speaking to the PGA Tour’s Talk of the Tour Podcast, Clark admitted that he was foolish to change equipment before the Ryder Cup and that it’s something he won’t do again.
“I think there are certain things we learned as a team,” Clark said. “There are certain communication things we all wanted to hash out. Some partner stuff I think we’ve adjusted and talked about throughout the year.”
On his performance, Clark added: “Personally, I want to make sure I am sharp and that I don’t do any tinkering with my equipment before the tournament like I did last year, which was really dumb of me.”

After Clark’s nightmarish major championship season, the American has bounced back well toward the back end of the campaign.
The 30-year-old finished eighth in the FedEx Cup rankings and was inside the top 15 in his four most recent events, which included the Olympics, St Jude Championship, BMW Championship, and season-ending Tour Championship.
The signs are certainly positive and precisely what Furyk would’ve been looking for from his already-qualified stars.
Clark will be looking to improve on his 1-1-1 USA match play record when the Presidents Cup begins at Royal Montreal in just under a week.
