World number six Wyndham Clark ended the 2024 PGA Tour season positively and eventually banked over $10m.

Clark’s season turned around at The Olympics after he produced an excellent weekend display to finish just outside the medals in Paris.

Before the Le Golf National event, Clark struggled at The Open and finished well out of contention in the US Open at Pinehurst No.2.

After winning the 2023 US Open and performing well in the second half of 2024, Clark’s methods are clearly working, and the Denver native believes taking control of his swing coaching has made a massive difference.

Wyndham Clark says why he doesn’t have swing coach

Clark is one of the few players on tour who self-teaches and doesn’t have a dedicated swing coach.

Now, speaking during a recent YouTube video with Bob Does Sports, the American has explained why the decision has benefitted him in recent years.

“I don’t have one. We all got here for a reason. We are all good enough on the PGA Tour. I was one of those guys who felt like he was too reliant on a swing coach,” Clark explained.

“I just didn’t play my natural swing, and that’s what I do now. Sometimes, I might go and see someone to consult or advice.”

Clark’s end-of-season form could indicate that his game is trending in the right direction ahead of the 2025 season.

At times, the American does face criticism, but taking a look at his finishes makes for pretty good reading. The challenge for Clark in 2025 is to ensure he remains consistent throughout the campaign.

During the middle part of the season, the American’s form dipped alarmingly, which led to some questioning his standing among the game’s elite players.

Improvement in the majors and a continuation of his 2024 form will see Clark finally establish himself at an elite level among the likes of Collin Morikawa, Xander Schauffele, and Scottie Scheffler.
