Cameron Smith starred for Ripper GC as the all-Australian team won the LIV Golf Dallas Team Championship.
Smith regrets Ripper’s poor start to the LIV Golf season, but ultimately he can be very happy after it ended in glory.
The 2022 Open Championship winner carded a final round 68 in Dallas, the joint-best score in the top tier with Tyrrell Hatton.
Lucas Herbert meanwhile followed with 69, with Matt Jones and Marc Leishman both scoring 70 as Ripper finished on 11 under.
Golf fans were annoyed as Jon Rahm missed out due to illness, with his Legion XIII side ending up in fourth place on six under.

4Aces GC and Iron Heads GC finished T2 at at Maridoe Golf Club, having both ended the day on eight under.
The official LIV website has now shared how winning captain Smith plans to celebrate the superb team success, reporting: “The Sunday post-round celebration was raucous among the four Australian players, their caddies and staff – and it promises to last for an extended period, including a party that captain Cameron Smith will host this week for his close-knit champions.”

Rahm was undoubtedly a huge miss for Legion XIII, who were the second seeds in Dallas, with Crushers GC in pole position.
Smith’s Ripper side meanwhile entered the team championship as the third seeds, having clinched success at both Adelaide and Singapore earlier in the season.
It was a roller-coaster event at Maridoe Golf Club, with the leaderboard constantly changing between the top sides.
But Smith and his teammates showed up when it really mattered, with the captain carding five birdies in his four-under 68.
Ripper will now be very confident going into the new season, which will commence with LIV Golf Riyadh at the start of February.
