Brooks Koepka produced the standout round on day one of LIV Golf Chicago as the five-time major winner looks to end his 2024 season on a high.

The 34-year-old has two LIV wins to his name thus far, coming at Greenbrier and in Singapore. Despite the success, Koepka isn’t happy with his season after failing to contend in any of the major championships.

Koepka called his major form ‘horrible’, and the American will look to improve when the 2025 Masters rolls around.

Koepka’s desire to win cannot be questioned, and the 34-year-old was spotted working on his game long into the night after the first day’s play at Bolingbrook Golf Club.

Per footage shared by Red Harrington on X, Koepka was seen working on his driving two hours after post-round events had wrapped up.

Harrington initially assumed Bryson DeChambeau was the player hitting drivers and was surprised to find Koepka on the range.

“Kaskade set has wrapped up. It’s getting close to 2 hours post-round. So when I heard a driver being hit, I assumed I’d see Bryson getting his late-night range season in. Wrong @BKoepka, the guy who just shot -8 is out here grinding,” Harrington wrote.

Despite carding a stunning eight-under round, Koepka’s driving was slightly off, which explains why he had the big stick out as the Bolingbrook sun faded.

Few players work harder than LIV Golf star Brooks Koepka

There are very few players who are more driven to win than Koepka.

As demonstrated during the ‘Full Swing’ Netflix series, the 34-year-old isn’t satisfied unless he’s contending in the major championships.

Of course, the five-time major winner is an outstanding talent, but there is no doubt that a lot of his success is due to his will to win.

Natural ability is required, but hard work and putting in the hours separates those at the very elite level.

Given Koepka’s end-of-season form and relentless pursuit of success, the American getting back on the major trail in 2025 wouldn’t come as a surprise.
