Brooks Koepka has analysed his 2024 so far after beating Jon Rahm in a playoff to win LIV Golf Greenbrier.

Koepka praised Rahm after beating him, with the American having narrowly lost out to the Spaniard at the 2023 Masters.

LIV Golf Greenbrier represents Koepka’s fifth individual title, with his Smash GC team crowned as the team champions.

Koepka had a ‘horrible’ majors season, with the five-time major champion having struggled on the PGA Tour in 2024.

The American finished T45 at the Masters, with T26 spots going his way at the PGA Championship and the US Open, before finishing T43 at The Open.

Does Brooks Koepka consider his year a success after LIV Golf Greenbrier?

He has now won five of the 31 LIV Golf regular-season events that he has played in, with no other player winning more than three times.

Koepka has now discussed whether his latest win makes him think more positively about his year, saying in his winning press conference: “No. Not at all.

“Four majors was pretty disappointing. I have had only two chances to win and won them but that’s not enough.”

Koepka carded a seven under 63 in his final round at the Old White course in West Virginia to level with Rahm.

The Spaniard, who shot 65 in his final round, had just clinched his first success on the tour by winning LIV Golf UK.

But his tee shot on the play-off on the 18th landed in the bunker, with Koepka easing his way to par and his fifth LIV title.

Rahm narrowly missed his putt to stay in the contest, leading to Koepka’s individual win as Smash secured the team prize.

He adds the trophy to his win in Singapore earlier this year, along with his 2022 and 2023 Jeddah titles and 2023 Orlando success.
