Brooks Koepka endured a tricky PGA Tour season in the majors, but has certainly been impressing in LIV Golf.

Koepka clinched his ‘favourite’ LIV win at Greenbrier last month, securing his fifth individual title on the breakaway tour.

The American’s Smash GC side also won the team title in West Virginia, with third place now on the cards for Koepka in the individual list thanks to his recent display.

Koepka has two wins to his name this season, and currently sits in seventh place in the standings ahead of LIV Golf Chicago.

Finishing eighth in 2022 and third in 2023, the five-time major winner is one of just five players to earn a top-10 finish in each of LIV’s first two seasons.

Brooks Koepka names his favourite golf course in the world

LIV Golf Greenbrier may have been his favourite win, but Koepka has now revealed his favourite course after it was announced he would be playing the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship next month.

“I’ve been fortunate to play in several Dunhill Links, as well as two Open Championships at St Andrews over the years, and these trips are always highlights to my year,” said Koepka, as per the Alfred Dunhill website.

“I love links golf and St Andrews is my favourite course in the world. I could play there every day for the rest of my life and never get tired of it.

“The atmosphere on and off the course at the Dunhill is fantastic. I was able to play with my father one year and my good friend and caddie, Ricky Elliott, another. Those two weeks will always be very special to me.”

Brooks Koepka among the players to have struggled at St Andrews

Koepka will have grand plans to become the first American to win the Alfred Dunhill Links, although it wouldn’t represent his first win in the country.

The five-time major champion won the Scottish Hydro Challenge at Spey Valley in 2013, securing automatic promotion to the European Tour.

Koepka has gone on to achieve greatness in golf since then, with two US Open and three PGA Championship wins going his way.

But links golf certainly isn’t for everyone, and neither is St Andrews, which last month hosted the Women’s Open.

World number one Nelly Korda had a problem at St Andrews, with Lydia Ko emerging victorious at the home of golf.

Koepka also struggled on the Old Course in 2022, with the American missing the cut at The Open Championship.
