Deciding who the best golfers of all time are is subjective decision but according to PGA Tour player Wesley Bryan, LIV Golf currently have one of the top three to ever do it in their ranks.
While many will regard Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods as the two best ever due to their majors and overall wins, the options for third down are often more debatable.
Greats of the game like Gary Player, Arnold Palmer, Nick Faldo and more get a mention by many, while in the current era, players like Scottie Scheffler and even Rory McIlroy might have a shout as well.
However, while there are a host of players past and present who might lay claim to being number three, Wesley Bryan believes it is LIV Golf who currently have that very player.

Wesley Bryan picks Phil Mickelson as the third best golfer ever
Someone like Wesley Bryan is in a good position to make a call on great golfers given his own experience and the fact he’s a PGA Tour winner.
However, while he is a PGA Tour player, Bryan took to X to reply to Kyle Porter and suggest that it’s actually LIV Golf’s Phil Mickelson who is the third best ever.
Mickelson has won six majors and is currently in contention in LIV Miami as he seeks to finally win on the breakout tour.
As for Bryan’s opinion on others, he doesn’t mention who his top two are but in a further post, he does mention the likes of Vijay Singh, Rory McIlroy and Dustin Johnson in terms of amazing runs in golf.

Who other golfers have picked as their best players ever
The term ‘Mount Rushmore’ gets thrown around a lot in sport nowadays and in golf, it’s something that has also been brought up over the years.
Tiger Woods picked himself alongside Jack Nicklaus, Sam Snead and Bobby Jones on his, while Jack Nicklaus went for Woods, Jones, Ben Hogan and himself.
As for the more modern player, Max Homa recently included Scottie Scheffler on his Mount Rushmore, with Tiger and Nicklaus as the other two picks.
Interestingly, Mickelson doesn’t feature but Stewart Cink has picked Mickelson in his top five before.
With six majors, a high number of PGA wins and now looking like he’s going to win on LIV eventually, there is no doubt that Mickelson will go down as one of the very best ever.
